    FitReach Forum Signature Feature

    Posted by John

If you participate in an online forum, like a lot of others you may want to display your latest body stats in your forum signature.

I have now developed a feature, available in the ‘Settings’ section of your account, that allows you to generate the code for your very own dynamic image. It will always display your latest stats on the forum. To use it, the forum you participate in must have images enabled in signatures. The code supplied may vary, please check with your forums documentation if so.

    An example:

    Your Suggestions!

    Posted by John

It’s only been a week or so since FitReach was launched and it’s already up to circa 100 members. Your feedback has been great and has allowed me to develop new features like those detailed in the posts below. Please do keep your suggestions coming, I thought a Blog post specifically for ideas and suggestions for this would be best.

You do need to create a blog account to post a reply, this is separate from your FitReach account but it should only take a minute to register.

Please reply to this post with your suggestions on features or changes you would like to see on FitReach!

    Thanks

    John

    Calorie Counter and Food Database

    Posted by John

We have now added a much better way for you to count your daily calories/fats/carbs and proteins. Using the meal planner feature you can enter your foods and food stats to compile an easy to refer to list of your daily intake. This will now allow you to better manage your diet and goal.

To help even further, we have created a foods database to auto-suggest and work out your calories/carbs/fats and proteins. This is an optional extra, if you know the food stats, you can over-ride this and enter them yourself if you wish.

These new features are already available in your accounts - I hope they help you manage your diet!

Improvements to the mobile version of FitReach

    Posted by John

    200803031601

We had several requests to extend the mobile version of FitReach to allow you to weigh in and view your body stats directly from your phone or handheld. We have added this feature now and it is available for anyone visiting http://mobile.fitreach.com.

Simply click the ‘My Diet’ link in the navigation bar to load your statistics, from this page you can view a simple graph for your vital stats: Body Fat / Lean Mass / Weight. You can also ‘weigh in’ from your phone now, scroll down and there is a form that you can use to send your latest stats to FitReach. So if you are out and about, you can now weigh in from your mobile!

Everything between the mobile version and the web versions is synced in real time, so everything entered on your mobile is also saved to the web version.
